Download and open the new An Post Money app on your phone or tablet.

Choose an option

If you’ve used the old An Post Money app or currency app before: select 'upgrading from old app’ on the welcome screen.

If you've never used the old An Post Money app or currency app before: select ’never used app before’ on the welcome screen.

Things to know

Once you finish the upgrade process, you’ll log in with your email address and the password you set. You can also choose to set up and use your fingerprint or Face ID to log in if you prefer. We will also ask you to set a 5-digit app PIN for extra security.

To use the An Post Money app, you must have an Irish mobile phone number and be a resident in Ireland.

You will need a 5-digit PIN to log into your mobile app in conjunction with your password. Your app will ask for your password or 5-digit PIN on different occasions.

For your first log in, you will need your email address and password to log into the app. You will also be asked to set up a 5-digit PIN. You can also log into your app using your fingerprint or Face ID.

This will become your username for the app. Please use your primary email address as we will use this to send you important communications regarding your account. We’ll email you a link to confirm this email address.

Our brand new An Post Money app has innovative features, improved security and an easier way to log in. This will replace your old app which is being retired.

Current account

You only need it the first time you log in to the upgraded app. You’ll continue to use it to log into the online banking website until we upgrade the website.

 

If any of the details you provide during the upgrade process don’t match what we have on file, then please contact us on +353 1 705 8000.

Your User ID is the 10 digit number which you use to log into Online banking. You can find this in your original welcome pack or in the current An Post Money app under the 'My Details' section before you upgrade. Please contact us on +353 1 705 8000 if you have any trouble.

Foreign currency

Since April 2021, single currency cards for GB pounds, US dollars, Australian dollars or Canadian dollars can no longer be used.

Please contact MasterCard on 1800 535 564 to get your money refunded.

To ensure that your details are added properly to the An Post Money app, customers who have a current account and currency card must add their current account first.  To add your currency card afterwards, tap on the menu icon in the app, then on:  Add new or existing products
